Harvey’s Lewis Italiano is in the running to win the 2025 7NEWS Young Achiever Award

Harvey’s top tradie, Lewis Italiano, is in the running for another prestigious award.
Mr Italiano has been nominated for the 2025 7NEWS Young Achiever Awards WA, only a month after being awarded as TAFE’s top regional student, top apprentice, and top cabinet maker of 2024.
This is the second time he has been nominated for the award, last year making it to the finals, an achievement he said is hoping to surpass this year.
“It’s nice to be in the running,” he said.
Mr Italiano said he’s hopeful his experiences from the past year, such as representing Australia at the World Skills competition in Lyon, France, last year will work in his favour.
“I think I’ve done a fair few things since then, like go to France for the international comp and couple of other bits and pieces in between, so, it’s nice to be nominated and see how my chances go,” he said.
As he’s said of his numerous other accolades, Mr Italiano said it was the support of his family, friends and the wider community who have given him the ability to get to where he is today.
“As usual. Everyone’s behind me,” he said.
“My family and friends, I’ve got the support from everyone, as with the other things I’ve done.”
