Arson squad looking for information regarding a series of fires lit on October 20 in Kwinana
The arson squad believes a series of suspicious fires in Kwinana last month are linked, including one started near the police station.
Several scrub fires were lit in Orelia, Kwinana, Medina and Calista on October 20.
Department of Fire and Emergency Services extinguished the scrubs fires on:
- Christmas Avenue, Littlemore Road and Elmore Place in Orelia;
- Gilmore Avenue and Brownell Crescent in Medina;
- Harley Way in Medina;
- Seabrook Way and Stanyford Way in Kwinana;
- Sulphur Road, near the Kwinana police station;
- Westbrook Street in Calista; and
- Near the golf course on Summerton Road, Calista.
The cause of these fires is being treated as suspicious and arson squad officers wish to speak to people who saw anyone suspicious, vehicles or activity near these locations.
