Former Mongol Dylan Edward Ghilardi’s fate remains unknown after being charged with two shootings last month

The fate of a former Mongol charged with two shootings in Perth’s south is yet to be decided after a committal hearing date was set at Rockingham Magistrates Court on Friday. Dylan Edward Ghilardi appeared via videolink from Hakea Prison charged with one count of aggravated grievous bodily harm, one count of grievous bodily harm and two counts of possessing a firearm with circumstances of aggravation, and will next appear on April 29 for a committal and police committal hearing. Police prosecutor Senior Constable Jessica Anderson told the court the prosecution was seeking an application to have the case moved to District Court due to the seriousness of the offences. The former Mongol has been remanded in custody since he was arrested in the Dawesville area on January 20. Police say the first attack happened on August 16, when the 31-year-old allegedly shot a man known to him at a cemetery in Baldivis. The victim attended hospital to receive surgery for the injury and the matter was reported to police. The second shooting happened about 1pm on Monday, January 17 at a rural Stakehill Road property in Port Kennedy. Police allege Mr Ghilardi drove up to the property with two other men in a grey Holden Commodore, pulled out a shotgun and fired a couple of rounds at a man. The alleged Port Kennedy victim suffered serious wounds to his leg and groin area, and was rushed to hospital where he spent several days in a coma. Former senior Rebels bikie Jamie Collins was also charged over the shooting and was arrested earlier this month.
