Kwinana book spot in SMCA One Day D grand final against Phoenix after convincing win over Riverton Rostrata

The Kwinana Cricket Club’s One Day D side are through to the SMCA grand final after a convincing win over Riverton Rostrata at the weekend. Playing at their home ground of Orelia Oval, Kwinana won the toss and elected to bat with the batters cashing in early to reach 0-44. The home side had a good platform at 4-116, and Satinder Singh (31), Sumair Sohi (37) and Avneet Singh (51) helped take them to a monstrous 7-210 after their 35 overs. In reply, Riverton Rostrata never got going, and were 2-2 early before they rebuilt to 2-35. The visitors then lost another three wickets quickly to leave them reeling at 5-39. From there, it was a matter of time before Kwinana took the remaining wickets, and Riverton Rostrata were eventually bowled out for 114 after 30 overs. Kwinana will host Phoenix next weekend in the grand final.
