A Baldivis mum claims she has been left with the clean-up bill after police damaged her home last week while executing a drug-related search warrant.

Mother-of-one Brenda, who asked for her surname to be withheld, said more than 16 officers bashed in the glass panelling of her front door and damaged her security screens before ransacking the house.

Brenda, 40, who has lived at Claret Ash Boulevard for the past 18 months with her 15-year-old son, said she had never been involved with illicit drugs.

She said police had not charged her with any offences following the Thursday morning raid and she did not know why her home was targeted.

Organised crime squad detectives seized various items which are believed to be used to manufacture illicit drugs.

A police spokeswoman said the items had been removed for further analysis and charges could still be laid, pending the results of chemical testing.

But Brenda said police only seized a set of scales and a spoon, which she claimed were used to make home-made aromatherapy beauty products.

She said she was not allowed to re-enter her home for several hours and was forced to sit outside with her son and two pet poodles, while four newborn puppies were left inside.

"I've never been charged with anything relating to drugs in my life - I feel totally persecuted and ashamed," Brenda said.

"It was terrifying when the police came in wearing gas masks - all they had to do was knock."

Brenda said she did not know who would pay for the damage to her home and was reluctant to contact her insurance company because she feared an increase in premiums.

"It really just wasn't fair because I haven't done anything wrong and now my house is a mess - I spent the whole weekend trying to clean it up," she said.

"There is still so much to do, I don't know where to start.

"My neighbours must have assumed I'd done something wrong after the police set up a tent outside my house - all my family live over east so there is no one to help me clean the place up.

"What is my son supposed to tell people?"

A police spokeswoman said detectives cordoned off an area outside the property and would continue to assess the items seized to determine if they were drug- related.
