Cottesloe Beach: Shark spotted circling nets, swimmers ordered out of water

Swimmers were ordered out of the water at Cottesloe beach on Wednesday after a shark was spotted circling inside the shark net.
Surf life savers issued a message over the loud speaker ordering swimmers at the popular beach to get out of the water because there was a 1.5m bronze whaler inside the net.

Swimmers quickly rushed out – except for one who didn’t hear the warning, forcing surf life savers to briefly sound a siren — as a drone was sent up to keep an eye on the situation.
“SLS Lifesavers report 1.5m bronze whaler shark sighted at 07:41hrs 08/01, Cottesloe Beach Enclosure, Perth Metro. 60m offshore. Circling,” Surf Life Saving WA said on X.
