Rockingham residents played an important role in a police raid last month which resulted in the seizure of drugs and more than 200 items of suspected stolen property from a home in Port Kennedy.

Rockingham police Senior Sergeant Stuart Mearns said the raid was mostly thanks to information received from the public.

"It's really important the public help - you live here and if you're not happy with it please report it," he said. "Your piece of information might seem simple or trivial, but can be used as part of a bigger picture."

Sen. Sgt Mearns said the home's occupants, a 32-year-old woman and a 27-year-old male, had been charged with a string of drug-related offences but investigations were ongoing with regards to the seized property.

"We believe the property was unlawfully obtained," he said.

The pair are set to appear at Rockingham Magistrate's Court on June 12.
