Secret Harbour's fair to be bigger and better
Thousands of revellers are expected to descend on Secret Harbour for the fourth annual Spring Market Fair on Sunday.
Street Hassle Events operations manager Lauren Barbera said this year's fair, on October 26, was set to be bigger and better than ever, with amusement rides, stage entertainment, community displays, face painting, pony rides and a petting zoo.
Ms Barbera said the fair promised something for everyone, including free children's activities and giant games.
She said it would also host the City of Rockingham Festival of New Talent grand final.
"Last year's fair went extremely well, with a turnout of about 8000," Ms Barbera said.
"This year's event will be bigger and better than ever."
Bertram cupcake creator Sam Cust, from Handmade by Sam, said she looked forward to preparing delicious treats to sell on the day, including favourites Oreo and chocolate peanut butter, while Jasmine Mary-Anne from Little Fairy Face Painting will be adding colour to children's faces.
Secret Harbour Primary School mother Sam Prentice has been hard at work creating colourful murals from popular children's movies and stories, which will adorn the oval on the day.
Mrs Prentice said she put together dozens of murals over the past two years, including specially-designed pieces in honour of teachers at the school.
She hoped visitors to the fair would enjoy posing for pictures with murals from Disney's Frozen and Despicable Me.
