The future outlook of the Kwinana skate park lies in residents' hands with the City of Kwinana calling on residents and youth to share their point of view in a survey.

The skate park at Calista Oval, on the corner of Walgreen Crescent and Harlow Road, first opened with just two steel ramps and has grown to become a fully equipped skate and BMX facility.

The park has been used by youth and by the City for popular community events, including Freakfest and the annual Live! Kwinana Festival.

Kwinana Mayor Carol Adams said the skate park was a great facility central to the City's ongoing youth program. "We are keen to hear the local Kwinana community's opinions to help shape future plans for the skate park," she said.

"We want to know what people really think about the skate park including safety in the area, suitability of facilities for skill levels from beginners through to advanced levels, and also what the community would like to see in the future."

The survey is open now and closes on March 31.

The survey is completely anonymous and will take no more than 15 minutes. To participate, visit www.surveymonkey.com/s/MSSJ87N
