The West Australian’s digital subscribers will now be able to access their news online faster than ever with a brand new digital app available for both Apple and Android devices.

The new app is part of The West’s continual innovation to ensure it provides the best news experience for its loyal readers.

Features of this updated app release include:

  • Enhancements to the digital edition, including article list, ability to print, improved image quality and faster download speed.
  • A new text-to-speech accessibility feature that can read digital edition articles aloud to you.
  • Upgrades to security and authentication for your peace of mind, including support for Sign In with Apple.
  • The ability to customise your push notifications to news topics that matter most to you, such as Breaking News or Sport.
  • Improvements to overall user experience with ‘pull down’ to refresh and load the status bar.
