Witnesses sought over fatal Medina crash

A 72-year-old Willagee woman has died in hospital after the car she was driving collided with a pole near a Thomas Road intersection in Medina on Saturday morning.

Elaine Anne Ross was travelling on Abercrombie Road, Postans, when the silver Holden commodore sedan left the road and collided with the pole at about 11.05am, according to police.

A St John Ambulance spokesman said paramedics attempted to resuscitate the woman at the scene before she was taken by ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital with serious injuries, where she later died.

Major Crash investigators are seeking the public's assistance with their enquiry into the incident on Saturday.
