Mother Nature is set to dampen hump day this week with more rain, strong winds, and hail to hit the City and the South West on Wednesday.

Meteorologist Miriam Bradbury said strong winds on Tuesday will kick off the wet and blustery conditions.

“Fine weather will become windy on Tuesday ahead of a front which will be approaching more closely on Wednesday,” she said.

By Wednesday night, the west weather is set to be in full force with the arrival of rain and stronger winds.

Ms Bradbury said wet weather will continue into the end of the week and may progress into a thunderstorm and hail in the State’s South.

“It will sweep through during Thursday bringing more widespread rainfall to the southwestern corner of the country, as well as a chance of some thunderstorms or small hail about the South West coast, she said.

Despite the bout of rain, temperatures will remain fairly comfortable, sitting in the high teens to low 20s.

The people of Perth haven’t been able to catch much of a break from the dreary conditions after it was reported the region has only experienced two dry weekends so far this winter.
