Man of the Match

The Indian skipper Jasprit Bumrah is named man of the match for his eight wickets.

“We were put under pressure in the first innings but I’m really proud of how the team responded,” he said.

“This wicket was a little bit less spicy than the one we played on here (in 2018) but we were really well prepared.

“Jaiswal, out of all his innings, I think (the one in Perth) is his best one because he’s attacking but he was able to reign himself in as well.”

Biggest home defeats

This is Australia’s seventh-biggest home loss.

All out

Rana grabs the last wicket with a clever slower ball that cuts and crashes into Carey’s off stump.

That ends a fine Test for India who can be very proud of an incredible victory.

Concussion delay

Hazlewood has failed to avoid the bouncer and taken one in the helmet.

He got stuck on the crease and is now being assessed.

AUS 9-235 needing 299

Dragging

Carey is doing his best to get some batting practise in after tea.

He is farming the strike and keeping India at bay for now.

It would be nice if he got the half century.

AUS 9-233 needing 301

Bowled!

Lyon survives just one ball and then gets bowled for a duck.

Sundar got the ball to drift in slightly and then straighten.

Far too good for the No.10.

Last session

We are ready to go for what is surely the final session of the match.

Carey resumes on 30, joined by Nathan Lyon.

The end is nigh

The Australian lower-middle order has battled hard to take this to tea but the damage was done last night/ in the first innings.

Carey has looked solid but India have just chipped away as they have done today and will hope to wrap this up shortly after the break.

Starc falls to classic catch at tea.

Sundar goes up for LBW off the first ball but nothing doing.

Carey sweeps sweetly for three.

GREAT CATCH. Starc gets one off the inside edge at Jhurel is sticks the hand up at short leg to take a terrific catch and that’s tea.
