Australia have enjoyed judo’s Commonwealth Games return to the tune of 10 medals after Liam Park, Abigail Paduch and Harrison Cassar claimed bronze on the final day of competition.

The trio all won well in their bronze medal matches in men’s 100kg, women’s 78kg and men’s 90kg divisions respectively, while Kayhan Ozcicek-Takah’s three shidos cost him in his bronze medal fight with Harry Lovell-Hewitt.

Their silverware came after gold to Tinka Easton and Aoife Coughlan among five other bronze medals on days one and two at Coventry Arena, Australia’s judokas filling their boots after the sport was removed from the Gold Coast program four years ago.
