Australian shot putter Todd Hodgetts has already won two Paralympic medals but his passionate post-competition interview in Tokyo last night has launched the Tasmanian into the spotlight.

Hodgetts won gold in London in 2012 and Bronze in Rio in 2016 and finished his conversation with Channel 7’s coverage by taking off his shirt and yelling, “this is what it’s all about!”

The 33-year-old was controversially handed a foul for what he thought was his best throw of the event, ‘the Hulk’ disappointed but remained his exuberant and positive self until the very end.

“I’m good, night’s not over at all. I’d die for this I’d put my body on the line,” he said.

“That foul was pretty big but I don’t reckon it was a foul but I did the you know window (VAR).

“I’m going to go to Brisbane and I’ll be 44-year-of age and I’m going to die for my country like the ANZAC’s.

“Nothing is impossible in this world, you got to look to the future everyone not our past. Look in the good of the past and shout out to Scott Morrison.”
