Worst start ever
Hard to put a positive spin on this one.
FULL-TIME Carlton 17.19 (121) 6.14 (50)
Another grim Saturday for West Coast as they fall to their worst ever start to a season to fall 0-5 after a 71-point mauling.
Carlton dominated the whole game but only really converted their chances in the last quarter to finally blow out the score.
Few positives a lot of problems and no end in sight as the Eagles plum new depths.

Tom Gross misses a handball going forward instead of taking on the kick to an uncontested Eagle. Carlton go end to end and Cripps gets another.
The siren can’t come quick enough for the Eagles.
Will White has his first AFL goal
The Blues go straight out the middle and White grabs the ball after it spills out in a tackle on McGovern and converts.
CAR 16.18 (114) WCE 6.14 (50)
Cripps has two
Oscar Allen turns the ball over with a horrid kick inside 50. Carlton go end to end and Cripps receives a handball in the goal square to kick another.
CAR 15.18 (108) WCE 6.14 (50)
Mitch McGovern lets fly
He launches from outside 50 and it sails through to put the margin above 50 points.
Everyone looking to cash in now and there’s just under 10 minutes to go.
CAR 14.18 (102) WCE 6.13 (49)
Sam Docherty adds another for the Blues
Gross gives away a free for high contact on Motlop and there’s a bit of carry on after.
Motlop goes wide to Docherty who takes an uncontested mark and converts. The margin is 47 points.
Brodie Kemp is down
He goes to take off and just collapses off the ball.
It looks like his Achilles as he can’t put any weight and his carried off the ground.
That is horrid luck.
